Robust Fuzzy Control for Uncertain Nonlinear Power Systems

This paper presents a new control technique based on uncertain fuzzy models for handling uncertainties in nonlinear dynamic systems. approach is applied the stabilization of multimachine power system subject to disturbances. In this case, state-feedback controller parallel distributed compensation (PDC) system, where design laws Lyapunov function method and stability conditions are solved using linear matrix inequalities (LMI)-based framework. Due high number nonlinearities, two steps followed reduce rules. Firstly, network subdivided into sub-systems Thevenin’s theorem. Actually, each sub-system corresponds generator which series with Thevenin equivalent as seen from generator. means that equal generators. Secondly, significances nonlinearities ranked their limits range variation. Then, non-significant variations assumed be uncertainties. The proposed strategy tested Western systems coordinating council (WSCC) integrated wind turbine. disturbances sudden output. effectiveness suggested compared conventional regulators, such an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) stabilizers (PSS).
